The annual fluvial procession in honor of Sto. Nino. A procession of Sto. Nino at Calumpang River starting at Brgy. Wawa to Poblacion that signal the start of the nine-day novena prior to the city fiesta on January 16.

Dagit during Holy Week

Ibaan, Batangas

Held every dawn of Easter Sunday. It is the traditional re-enacment of the first meeting of our Risen Lord with the Blessed Mother and it was called “Dagit”, meaning to snatch away. An angel performed by young girl who has a vow, snatch the black veil of the Mother of Sorrows. Young girls dressed as angels would sing Hosannas and shower rose petals in all directions. A celebration of Life’s triumph over death.

Sigpawan Festival
Every Easter Sunday
Lemery, Batangas

“Pagpapasalamat at Paghingi Pa ng Biyaya sa Panginoong Diyos”. A mass will commence the opening of the festival. After the mass, a parade with bands and streetdancing proceed to the fish port. The festival is highlighted with a fluvial parade along 6.5 km. Balayan Bay covering hte coastline area. All participating bancas are decorated with colorful buntings to enhance the festive atmosphere. The patron saint, San Rafael is boarded on of the bancas.

Subilan

Subilan sa Bauan is held every may 2. The festival aims to revive the centuries-old tradition of dancing the Subli, a dance indigeous to Batangas City, Bauan & Agoncillo. This dance ritual is being done to pay homage to Sto. Nino, the Child Jesus of batangas City and to Holy cross at Bauan and Agoncillo.

Salubong sa Mahal na Poon

An annual meeting of an icon which the early Philippine Christian called as the Maal na Poon Santa Krus. The devotees mostly of hte towns of Alitagtag and Bauan joined this religion festival to invoke the icon, pledge their loyalty, thanks it for blessing granted and call on it for protection, healing and well-being, the two crosses met on the boundary of the Municipalities of Alitagtag-Bauan going to Binukalan Shrine where mass is celebrated.

Bancathon Festival
