Port of Batangas
The Baseport of PMO Batangas is located 110 km. from Metro Manila.
Based on 1981 Feasibility Study conducted by JICA, Batangas will serve as the Main Gateway to and from the islands of MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), the Visayas, and Mindanao.
To cater to the cargo shipping needs of this Hub Port, the Batangas Baseport was rehabilitated and developed into two (2) Phases financed through foreign loan.
Phase I covering an area of 22 hectares was completed in 1999 at a cost of Php 1.6 B.
